New Employees
New and newly eligible employees have a special 60-day period to apply for FLTCIP coverage with abbreviated underwriting, which means they answer fewer health questions on their application. The 60-day period starts with their hire date or date of eligibility so it is important to provide information about the program on a timely basis. It may never be easier to add the FLTCIP to their overall benefits package.
